Wool is for everyone

Felting with wool is an intoxicating, fun process that I love to share with others. I teach a variety of classes at North House Folk School, in communities, schools and other folk schools. Contact me if you are interested in organizing a small group workshop from 2 hours to 2 days, children, adults or families. No experience or artistic skill is needed.

Here are a few classes that I teach:

Three Dimensional Wet Felting with a Resist; Felted slippers, bags, mittens, hats, chair cushions, bowls etc.

Nuno Felting, scarves, shawls and wraps

Sculptural Felting, three dimensional forms on wire or soft sculpture

Felting for Children or Felting for the Family

Felted Diorama, tell a story by felting a scene, which includes a background felted painting, foreground sculptural felting and seamless resist felting for puppets and other objects.

Needle felting; flat or three dimensional

Wool, from raw fleece to fiber; washing, carding, making wool batts and wet felting, your choice

Flat felting for the kitchen; table runners, place mats, trivets, chair cushions, potholders, rugs

Felting for Animals, cat caves, dog beds, bird houses, toys

Finger puppets and Hand puppets, needle felting and wet felting.
